After the global unveiling of a new range of monitors with a huge 1000R curvature in January, Samsung Australia announced the launch of the massively curved CT55 monitor in Australia – its first 1000R monitor to be sold below.
Sporting a particularly deep curve that would be more immersive, the Samsung CT55 monitor is available for purchase now in 27 and 32 inch models.
In terms of specifications, each VA panel has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, with a contrast ratio of 3000: 1 and a maximum brightness of 250 cd / m2.
According to Samsung, the CT55 carries “the first high-performance curved screen (1000R) and the eye comfort certificate” from TÜV Rheinland, a leading international certification organization in Germany.
In addition, each monitor offers a response time of 4 ms (GTG) and is compatible with AMD FreeSync with a refresh rate of 75 Hz. Other features include game mode, Eco Saving Plus, Eye Saver mode and a plug charging without flickering.
In terms of interface ports, Samsung CT55 monitors offer 1 HDMI 1.4 port, 1 DisplayPort port, 1 D-Sub (VGA) port and 1 headphone port. In addition to that, both models offer 2 x built-in 5W stereo speakers.
Priced at AU $ 399 for the 27-inch model and AU $ 449 for the 32-inch model, the Samsung CT55 with 1000R curvature is available for purchase now from the company’s usual retail partners.
