After its launch last month in the United States, the Motorola Edge Plus quickly made its way to India. The handset debuted today and will be sold on Flipkart at the starting price of Rs 74,999.
There are no storage and RAM options in the model, however, you can choose between two color options – Smoky Sangria and Thunder Gray.
The Motorola Edge Plus is a big deal because it's the brand's first real flagship product in years. If we remember correctly, Motorola plunged into flagship territory for the last time with the Moto Z Force at the end of 2016, a range of modular handsets that could be improved with Moto Mods. The modular range is no more, and it is the new stylish Motorola Edge Plus with advanced features.
Key highlights of the handset include the exquisite and huge 6.7 inch Full HD + OLED curved screen with 90 Hz refresh rate protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Motorola Edge Plus also has a set of high-performance cameras. The triple sensor configuration is led by a 108-megapixel main camera with an f / 1.8 aperture, followed by an ultra-wide 16MP sensor with an f / 2.2 aperture and a field of view of 117 degrees and a 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and OIS. There is also a ToF sensor and the front camera is a 25MP sensor placed in the hole punch.
And of course, being a flagship, the Motorola Edge Plus rocks the 5G compatible Snapdragon 865 which will be powered by a huge 5000 mAh battery supporting a fast charge of 18 W and a wireless charge of 15 W. It is also capable of wireless charging upside down 5W. The handset is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and the internal UFS 3.0 storage is at 256 GB without any microSD card slot option.
The handset runs on Android 10 and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at a time when most brands are getting rid of it.
