It's Fancy Dress Friday, and it's time to train with Joe Wicks' PE session. We have the link you need below to jump and sweat (although Friday is always a bit easier, so hopefully).
Remember that since these are costumes today, you will have to find a costume and have everyone play. Don't wrap yourself in aluminum foil and pretend you're a robot, because it's one of the hottest things you've ever done to your body. Trust us.
If you're having trouble motivating yourself, remember there's nothing like the moment you realize you have really changed your life with a decision you made – and what do these sessions all the days can be just that.
Remember, every time you watch one of his videos, advertising revenue goes directly to the NHS – combined with his sales of t-shirts, created to also collect money, he has raised an incredible $ 330,000 £ and the total continues to increase as the t-shirts are constantly selling.
So whenever you're wondering if you should activate YouTube and have another PE session with Joe, just hit play. Even if you don't do the session, you will add some money – and you will probably decide to jump and get active anyway.
Don't forget to bookmark this page if you're an EP regular with Joe Wicks – we'll link to live video every day. If you are new, well, VPNOnlineFree it anyway and come and try to walk with us daily.
What is the PE format with Joe Wicks?
Most of the time, it's a traditional twenty-minute session divided into two 10-minute halves, with a two-minute rest in between.
Sometimes it will mix things up by extending the sessions and shortening the recovery, but you still get just enough rest to get you ready for the next workout.
And sometimes some sessions are slightly “alternative”, with things like a draw, a deck of cards or a wheel of fortune that decides the exercises for you. It doesn't always work (two dice rolled are much more likely to hit certain numbers than others, so we have lot burpees that day) but it's a good way to keep things interesting.
For younger children (and adults too, if we're honest), there's also a daily fact quiz to help you learn, as well as a “ spot the difference ” to see what has changed in the room where he performs his workouts.
In addition, there is always the chance to see his children running, and every Friday, he dresses in fancy dress for the cleverly named “Fancy Dress Friday”.
((New to PE with Joe? If doing these sessions seems too much to get started, Joe has just created a beginner workout – you can check it out on his YouTube channel now).
We recommend that you train in front of a TV rather than an iPad or smartphone – and we have chosen the technology you will need to do it. Most smart TVs can connect using the “Cast” icon (more information below), or you can get an additional unit for a low price.
And definitely get a fitness tracker to show you how many adjusters you get (and you can get some brilliant inexpensive fitness trackers), smart scales to track your fitness journey, and some other smart accessories like a yoga mat for blowing up the living room much easier.

How to Watch Joe Wicks' Kids Training on a TV
The best way – if you have room – is to watch the workout in front of a TV. There are a myriad of ways to get YouTube on your TV, making it easier to get active.
Use your Smart TV
The easiest way is to have a smart TV in your life – and you may find that you are already connected. A simple way to find out is to tap on the icon we highlighted above and see if your TV or streaming device is listed. If so, you're ready to go.
Otherwise, and your TV is connected to the Internet, open your smart hub and go to YouTube, where you can follow the search instructions above to find The Body Coach TV, with a new live video every day at 9:00 GMT .
If you don't see it right away, it should show up just before 9 a.m. – and Wicks also gives you a few minutes to get ready.
Using Google Chromecast
Alternatively, you can use streaming sticks – one of the simplest is Google's Chromecast, which plugs into your HDMI jack and streams content from your phone to the TV.
Launch YouTube on your smartphone or tablet and look for the broadcast icon in one of the corners.
Chromecast isn't too expensive either, and is an easy way to turn your smart TV – allowing you to stream a multitude of services (like Netflix and other streaming platforms) from your small phone screen to a larger screen:
How to look on a Roku key:
More advanced than a Chromecast, the Roku key easily turns your TV into a smart hub. Once connected, press the “ source ” button on your remote control and access the HDMI port where your Roku key is located (or, with some modern TVs, just press the “ Home ” button on the Roku remote control to get the same thing).
From there, open the YouTube app and go to Body Coach TV at 9:00 a.m. GMT … or launch it on your smartphone or tablet and look for the distribution icon above, tap on it and see if the Roku is listed (which it should be if all devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network).
How to Watch Joe Wicks' PE Workout on an iPad
You have two options here: if you've already downloaded the YouTube app on your tablet, just search for “The Body Coach” and click the icon at the top of the screen for “Body Coach TV”.
From there, you'll see a list of all the videos, and at 9 a.m., the new option should appear – although you may need to refresh.
You can do the same if you do not do have the IPad app by heading to your Safari or Chrome browser and clicking on the link to The Body Coach's YouTube channel – you can play the video directly from there, and click on the full screen option in the lower right corner .
Which HIIT timer does Joe Wicks use?
Joe Wicks uses the Seconds Timer app for his workouts – you can download it for iPhone / iPad or Android phones.
There are many options for free use, but if you want to use it regularly and not get upset by having to create workouts over and over (as well as supporting developers, a nice thing to do when you use an app a lot), you will need to make a purchase through the app.
If you really want to get the most out of your workouts – be it HIIT, Tabata or just standard racing – this is definitely worth a look.
