Google Pixel 4a is ready, but delayed – and why?

If there had not been a global Covid-19 pandemic, the famous Google Pixel 4a would have been on the market today. Of course, the launch event was inevitably delayed, with Google not committing to a specific date for its launch, which has caused many rumors in the market.

Amid speculation, Google also canceled the larger Pixel 4a XL model and switched to a generic Pixel 4a model.

Pixel 4a received a Confidence vote by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who recently said his company is “super committed” to the besieged hardware division, which has seen sales of its flagship smartphones less than expected.

In the midst of all of this comes the advice that the Google Pixel 4a launch event may not be any time soon. According to Tech Analyst Jon Prosser, the release date has been pushed back to July 13 – two good months later than originally planned.

Of course, Google has yet to confirm or deny the claim.

Prosser, in his tweet, also speculated that the Pixel 4a is ready for delivery, but Google could just hold back.

Apparently Google wants to decide the release date based on market analysis. It does not want the Pixel 4a to reach a lukewarm response, especially since the general market conditions as they exist today are not very dynamic.

In another important claim, Prosser said that the Pixel 4a would not support 5G networks. This feature is reserved for flagship Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 5 XL products.

Google Pixel 4a is rumored to cost $ 349 in the United States, with hopes that it will be available in two colors: “pure black” and new “nude blue.” Apparently the color option “transparent white” has been removed.

Reports from leaks and other forms in preparation for launch suggest that the Pixel 4a is equipped with a 5.8-inch OLED screen with a thinner bezel and a perforated design, something Google has never tried before.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 is the chipset inside Google Pixel 4a — The Pixel 3a was powered by Snapdragon 670. So there should be a significant increase in performance.

Reports also indicate that the device comes standard with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The full package will be a 3,080mAh battery and will support a fast 18W charge. Although Android 11 is expected to launch soon, it looks like the Pixel 4a would arrive with existing Android 10.
