EA surprised many people with the sudden announcement of Apex Legends in February 2019, a free Battle Royale shooter that sees the publisher go hand in hand with mammoths of the genre PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite Battle Royale.
Developed by Respawn Entertainment and located in the Titanfall universe, Apex Legends is a shooter based on a battle royale squad where teams of three face 57 other players to try to collect loot and be the last person (or squad) standing.
However, unlike Fortnite and PUBG, Apex Legends sees players taking one of eight classes, each represented by a unique character (imagine Fortnite mixed with Overwatch and you'll be on the right track.)
Apex Legends is now past its first anniversary and is entering its fifth season, Fortune's Favor, which started on May 12, 2020.
If you are new to Apex Legends and are looking to see what you are missing or have given up on the map for a while and want to keep up with the latest releases, we're here to keep you posted on what's new in Apex Legends.
Apex Legends: VPNOnlineFree's verdict
Apex Legends is a revisited and captivating version of the battle royale which, as it stands, cannot be beaten for its attention, details and care:
Great use of team interaction
Definitely not a solo game
As we said in our Apex Legends review:
“Truth be told, the Battle Royale movement never quite got hold of me. I splashed around in PUBG and spent a dozen hours with Fortnite, but nothing ever really blocked the landing. Apex, however , gave me grip, line and lead. Intuitive controls, an exceptional communication system and a remarkable gallery of thugs, Respawn has created what looks like an AAA outing for the genre. ”

- What's up? Season 5 has started
Favor of Apex Legends Fortune
As of May 12, 2020, Apex Legends: Fortune's Favor has been underway.
So what's up? Well, there's a new legend, a few map changes, a whole new Battle Pass and the very first quest of the season to get stuck. Read on for an overview of what to expect.
As with previous seasons, Apex Legends Season 5 has introduced a whole new legend. This time it's Loba. Described by Respawn as a high society thief, she should bring a touch of class to procedures.
Loba, family name Andrade, is seeking revenge on last season's new legend, Revenant, for the murder of her parents when she was only 9 years old. According to Respawn, “Left without anything, Loba survived by picking up pockets. As her skills improved, Loba used all of the tools at her disposal to lift herself from the gutter. Jump Drive technology stored inside. With his new teleportation bracelet, the safest and most inaccessible objects were within reach. Just like his dream of living the big life. “
As far as Loba's abilities are concerned, her tactical ability is a burglar's best friend, allowing her to teleport to hard-to-reach places or quickly escape trouble. Her passive ability is an eye for the quality with which she can see the epic and legendary loot through the walls. Finally, its ultimate capacity is Black Market Boutique with which you can place a portable device that allows you to teleport nearby loot into your inventory.
Season 5 has made a few map changes, which see big changes in Kings Canyon due to the ongoing digs. Respawn called it “a new beast, forever changed by the actions of Loba and the Syndicate.”
So what has changed? Well, Skull Town and the Thunderdome have been removed in the hopes of bringing out other parts of the map because now the broken coastline stretches from Octane's gauntlet to the cliffs that lead to water treatment .
A place of interest called Salvage has been added to the Broken Coast and players will find high-level loot and a two-way zipline balloon for a quick way to get around the bay. We also discover on the broken coast part of the underground network crossed by Loba.
Another change was made to the upper east corner of Kings Canyon. Respawn added more land mass and created more playable space to “bring more balance to the way players move around the map”.
A new area called The Offshore Rig is an important addition, connecting to the old relay and wetlands, which has been replaced by excavating the capacitor with an underground route to Singh Labs.
There are also new camps around the capacitor area where players should be able to take a moment and take inventory to decide which path they want to take next.
Players will also notice that the reclaimed forest is a little different with new routes leading through the area and the larger exterior of Singh Labs.
Another interesting addition discovered in the excavation is the loaded towers. At these glowing towers spread across the map, players can play with a control panel and set off an explosion that restores the pinnacle of each player on the charging tower platform.
During the first two weeks of the new season, Kings Canyon will be the only map available for players to get used to. After that, the map rotation will start again and bring World's Edge back.
New Season Quest
For the first time, season quests have arrived at Apex Legends and it is called The Broken Ghost. Players embarking on this quest will spend the season looking for nine pieces of a strange artifact.
They will be able to collect treasure packs in competitive matches once a day to unlock rewards and hunts for coins. While players can only unlock one treasure pack per day, those who fall behind can buy them for 25 acres.
There are 45 collectible treasure packs that could contain crafting metals, BattlePass XP packs, Apex packs, or the ability to play a new weekly hunt for the next piece of artifact.
There will be nine weekly hunts at Kings Canyon at night to collect pieces of the artifact that players can do solo or with their team. Succeeding in a hunt will give you a weapon charm and unlock chapters that reveal the whole story of Broken Ghost.
The unlocked hunts will be replayable and the first will be available on May 19 after players have five treasure packs.
It wouldn't be a new season of Apex Legends without a new Battle Pass. For 950 Apex Coins, you can buy this pass which offers 110 levels to climb by taking up daily and weekly challenges, with over 100 exclusive items, including legendary skins, Apex packs, loading screens and music packs to win.
Players who pick up the battle pass immediately unlock the Legendary Hemlock Retrofitted skin and three new Rare Legends skins. Going through the rest of the levels, you could earn rare and legendary rewards like the Madman's Golden Mirage, the Bangalore Sky Marshal and the precision-wielding reactive wingman.
League classified series 4
In addition to Season 5, the Ranked League 4 Series has also been launched.
Basically, things are similar for the Ranked League in Series 4, with none of the huge changes that were introduced last time. Respawn has decided that the Splits work well and that they will not change. This series will debut with Kings Canyon before moving to World’s Edge on June 23. The score, the PR entry cost and the aids will also remain unchanged.
In order to help players who find their progress frustrated with things beyond their control like crashes and Internet outages, Respawn said it was introducing a new feature called Reconnect. With this, players who have been disconnected by accident can simply restart and, if their session is still running, they will be reloaded in the session.
Apex Legends tips and tricks
Apex Legends can be difficult to master. There are a lot of different characters each with their own abilities and skills, and this battle royale arguably relies more on strategy and teamwork than some of its competitors.

Apex Legends Roadmap – What's Next?
Respawn Entertainment shared a roadmap for the first year of Apex Legends that showed players their plans for the first four seasons. Now that we are in season 5, this roadmap has expired. Respawn has not confirmed if it will publish a similar roadmap for year 2, but we will keep our eyes open.
Is Apex Legends coming to mobile?
Yes. In EA's quarterly earnings report, the publisher announced that it plans to offer the game developed by Respawn Entertainment on mobile platforms and in South Korea and China.
“We are in advanced negotiations with China and the mobile,” said EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgenson, before later mentioning South Korea as another area of expansion.
However, we should not expect to see Apex Legends on mobile for at least a year. According to EA CEO Andrew Wilson, the game will not be launched until fiscal year 2021.
